The Big Three 1/14/15

There are times when writer’s block can last for hours. Other times, life just hits you in the face with something to talk about.

After successfully completing three rounds of SeatGeek‘s (It really is a great site.) rigorous hiring process, I have been informed that I have been ruled out of contention. They did give me some very encouraging words on the way out, but it was pretty clear that others were more qualified to be their “Data Analyst.”

Who knows, maybe someday they’ll need a funny blog guy. I’m sure there are plenty of people more qualified than me to take that spot too, I guess.

Anyway, before I start crying and listening to Chris Brown records, here are the games to watch tonight.

3. Notre Dame vs. Georgia Tech – 7:00 – NESN

I’ve determined (This was part of yesterday’s deliberation.) that NESN counts as a national network when not showing Bruins or Red Sox games. You can order NESN outside of New England, those games are just blacked out.

Tonight’s game won’t be, though. So this can be the Matt Lauzon special (If he hasn’t cancelled NESN yet.). Notre Dame is a slight favorite on the road in this ACC clash.

2. Clippers vs. Trail Blazers – 10:30 – ESPN

The Trail Blazers come into this contest having won four straight games. They also boast the league’s best defense, only allowing 96.4 points per game.

This is a premier matchup, but my mind just can’t seem to get over how bad this game would have been ten years ago. Sports are great.

1. San Diego State vs. Wyoming – 11:00 – ESPN 2

Wyoming is in the Top 25, and that’s pretty sweet. The Cowboys are led by Larry Nance Jr., who is constantly stuntin’ like his daddy.

This is Larry Nance Jr.:

And here’s Larry Nance:

Awesome.
